Jennifer John leads the creative direction of Very Vocal, developing collective singing projects that bring artistic vision, strategic collaboration and cultural engagement. As a composer and vocal arranger, she takes projects from concept through to delivery, with accessibility integrated into the structure of the work.

She composes new work, develops singers and directs vocal performance, while also researching and curating collaborators drawn from a wide range of contexts, including established artists, community participants and her ongoing work with Sense of Sound, a contemporary vocal collective. Her approach centres on building inclusive, carefully constructed collaborations that foster social connection through shared musical experience.

She designs and directs the full arc of each project, from initial concept and collaborative development through to live delivery and public presentation, creating large-scale collective singing experiences that are both accessible and artistically distinctive.
