Enormous Vocal Ensemble
A large-scale live vocal production created and presented by award-winning composer and vocal arranger Jennifer John.
Enormous Vocal Ensemble (EVE) is a female-led collective singing experience.
For each event, an established female guest artist is invited to collaborate. Together, a song from her repertoire, chosen for its strong social message, conscience or empowerment narrative, is agreed upon.
Jennifer John creates a bespoke vocal arrangement of the song. The arrangement remains a secret until the day of the event. The audience, who become the ensemble on the day, learn it first. The artist is then invited onto the stage and hears the new arrangement for the first time in the room. The anticipation in the room is tangible.
Through performance, EVE demonstrates that collective cooperation produces extraordinary results.
The result is a one-off, large-scale live performance shaped by powerful vocal leadership, collaboration and collective cooperation.
